Yoga at Twisters

Twisters Wellness Centers offers over 70 yoga classes a week in a variety of styles, including Classic Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Yin, and various styles of Hot Yoga. These styles represent different approaches to yoga with varying levels of technical difficulty. Our eclectic continuum of yoga classes allows us to continuously challenge our students to deepen their practice and keep their experience fresh from day to day and year to year.

IMPORTANT! Please be ready in the classroom ON TIME, as a late entrance is disruptive and distracting once class has started. If you are late due to unforeseen circumstances, the front desk staff will let you know if there is room in class.

FIRST TIME STUDENTS should try to arrive at least 15 minutes early to talk with the teacher. If you arrive at the start of class or later, you will need to check in with the front desk prior to entering the classroom.

Class begins and ends in silent meditation (Savasana). Please restrict all conversation to outside the room while still being respectful of other classes in progress.


Hatha Yoga is the most popular branch of Yoga and from which all Styles of Yoga Asana originate including Ashtanga, Power, Bikram and Anusara Yoga. Hatha incorporates physical poses (Asana), breathing techniques (Pranayama), and meditation together for optimum health benefits. Our Classic Hatha classes are slower paced and include limited upper body weight bearing poses. While the poses are less complex, the are held longer allowing for deep and challenging stretches. Our Vinyasa style yoga combines a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing for a more intense and face paced workout. Ashtanga yoga is the original power yoga with a systematic sequence of predetermined flowing poses. It is an athletic flow combining strength, flexibility and stamina, leading to a strong body and quiet mind.

Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is a moving meditation combining asana, breath work and heat. Hot Yoga is generally a series of Hatha Yoga postures performed to exercise 100% of the body from the inside out, regulating the body systems to function more effectively and often having healing effects. The room is heated to allow for improved circulation and cardiovascular health as well as deep muscle stretching and elimination of toxins. We offer 60-minute stationary "Express" classes which are a set sequence of 26 poses. These classes are designed for practitioners of all ages; beginners are welcome. We also offer flowing Hot Vinyasa classes, which offer a fast-paced and more vigorous practice in a heated room. Men and women both love this intense cardio workout, which develops strength, flexibility and balance.
