Barre

Barre class is a ballet-derived workout that doesn’t require a background in dance. It is an intense, isometric workout with deep stretching to help lengthen the muscles after exhausting them. Set to fun, fast-paced music, this class will firm, lift and tone your legs and rear in no time. While a major focus is on the lower half of the body, it is a total body workout incorporating mat-based ab work and upper body toning with weights and resistance bands.

Pilates Mat

Pilates Mat is done on the floor using a Pilates or Yoga mat and can also involve basic equipment such as a Pilates ring, resistance band, or weighted balls. These exercises help strengthen the body’s core by developing pelvic and scapula stability and abdominal control using focused breathing patterns. The main fitness goals of Pilates Mat include improved flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, low back health and body-mind awareness.  Pilates Mat classes are also a great way to strengthen your yoga practice or cross-train for any other physical activity.
