CAROLYN (E-RYT 200 and RYT 500) started practicing yoga at Twisters Wellness Center over 10 years ago … and has been teaching now for 4 years. She received both of her Yoga Alliance Certifications at the Native Yoga Center in Juno Beach, Florida … her 200 Hr is based in HATHA … and her 500 Hr is based in ASHTANGA. Her other certifications include … a 40 Hr Ashtanga Teacher Intensive Certification with David Swenson, and two 40 Hr Ashtanga Intensive Certifications with Manju Pattabhi Jois , as well as a 120 Hr three-part Anusura Immersion Certification at Twisters Wellness Center
She is currently fine-tuning her skills as she works toward yet another Yoga Alliance 200 Hr Certification, Ashtanga based, with Jennifer Sapp of JM Yoga. She has also studied Ashtanga with David Williams, Tim Miller, Annie Pace, Krista Shirley, and Greg Nardi … Anatomy with David Keil … and Sanskrit with Greg Nardi and indirectly with Allyn Miner (whom she has never met … but has listened to again and again and again). She has studied Yoga for The Classroom, having taken a Y4C Professional Development Training … and she has also dabbled in Thai Yoga Massage … having taken the first part of a 3-part Certification (and she is looking forward to the next two parts).
Carolyn teaches traditional Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow with an Ashtanga influence. AND when not teaching you can often find her on her mat, practicing, in one of our many yoga classes offered here at Twisters.

Ashtanga Vinyasa as taught by Twisters Wellness is unique blend of Vinyasa Yoga and the fundamentals of the Ashtanga Series. These classes are invigorating and dynamic with a strong emphasis on the breath/movement connection and utilizing a flowing sequence to create heat, flexibility, a strong body and quiet mind.
